From the look of the various run-ins it would appear as though Accrington have a "group of death".
Have your chances of the play-offs gone for another year?

I think all the games are make or break now, it time to show how confident we are in the team and get behind them all the way, this team is probably the best Accrington has assembled for many a year and with out exception I think they go out week after week to win and even with poor Refs they have come good when its mattered.
When we get to the football league and sit and ponder what was the best and the worst of the year, for me getting knocked out of the Cup early was the worst, don't get to see them on TV, The best beating the shrimps, pride of nothing, so many times.

Morecambe play there GLS game tommorw (wed 30th) against Stalybridge.. we play the winner in the northern final and then either woking or steveange in the GLS final

or summat like that.

when you say another year what is that ment to mean as this is are first shot at football league well i just hoped last season we could just stay up in the conference and build on that. as for morcambe its another another another another another another another another another ........ year gone of getting to the play offs.

well the playoffs only started in 2003 and we made those. last year we were 7th and with a pretty good run in of home games against Scarborough , Burton , Forest Green and Barnet (long after they are crowned champions) and only 2 away games at Gravesend and Tamworth we think that we can make the play-offs this year.

Apart from the fact that we play much better against the better teams, I'd rather have our fate in our own hands by taking points off our rivals than simply hoping that they don't win their games in hand.

We ar Christie will be hoping you have lots of draws against the other top teams.
If you remember at the start of the season we were about 12 points behind Accrington and now we are 3 points behind with a game in hand so momentum is with us.

Theoretically it may still be possible, but realistically we've blown it!

Let's be honest, this season we have been inconsistant and at times tactically nieve!


I just hope that the "Powers at be" have learnt something and can build for next season!!


....even WBA fans dream of a reprieve, but it aint gonna happen!!

I am sticking with my first thought. Yes it is a mountain.

Same position without having played more games than anyone else and the run in is a mountan.. But add to that the games in hand everyone has on us and its the biggest of big mountains..

However a ray of hope in that all our remaining games are against top flight opposition who we need to beat to stop them and help us. Accy nearly always raise there game for big ones and they are now all big..

Having to raise your game 5 times on the trot knowing that just one defeat will see you out of it... its cup final every week... the biggest of big mountains



But if everyhting went by the form book and everything written in stone then football just wouldn't be football.. its the unexpected that makes it a beutifull game.....

never being at the top until the last game of the season saw accy into the unibond premier.... how wierd was that?

Personally I wouldn't bet a pair of sweaty socks on our chances of making the playoffs.... But I live in hope and my fingers are crossed :)

Why do sad Monkeys (sorry Morkys) come on here bleating like the sheep they s...?Theyalways used to beat us in the old pre Unibond days and started to think we were the poor relations. Now they find they can't beat us at all home or away! WE are the ex football league club heading for a return to where we naturally should be. sorry if I hit a raw nerve Qualtrough. Only having a bit of friendly banter and debate.
We get plenty of Accy fans on and dont resort to making jokes about tragedies(cockle-pickers etc).

They say you can prove anything by twisting statistics . Seems like you could twist any meaning/reference out of innocuous words M.R. The only tragedy I mentioned in my posting was MFC.
