Back from the match, what a result!! Hi-light of the night was some of the ultras doing the conga round the ground towards the end with the drum at front.The other hi-light was Roberts going to the snack bar after being subbed and had got changed pulled his wallet out only to realise he’d put someone elses trackies on, aww bless it was one of those “you had to be there moments” ha ha. News on smithy, I fear his season may be over. He said it was a clash of knees and his knee cap was knocked slightly out so we’ll see what the physio can do. hope alls well soon smithy

great result tonight, good show by Ultras doing the conga and making as much noise as they did. ****e referee again - where do they find them? missed oodles of fouls by Burscough and yet deemed one of our fouls so severe it required a booking. Cookie played a blinder he swapped places with Rory on left wing. Constantly shouting at the players to pass the ball to him. One wag in stand says now he knows how Rory feels, to which Cookie replies he is 10 years younger, to which the reply came that thats ok but even Rory aint getting the service either. loads of laughs in the stand for that. Daughter loved it and insists i bring a marker pen to next match to get shirt signed.

It's nice to hear such positive comments about the club and the fans. Good reporting Lindsay and everyone else who contributed. It makes a difference to us exiles to have such a dedicated fan base feeding back what’s going on. Same goes for Mr Kipax whose photographs are a real bonus?

Burscough.... I have to mention it... This was non league scran...absoloute quality... Large tray of hotpot peas and gravy for £2.20.. beats the hell out of any limp burger... 10/10 :) |

Good point Kipax - maybe our caterers could take a lesson from these people - daughter said that the Hot Chocolate was the best she's ever had. prices reasonable as well.

Not only the hotpot but the coffee tasted like percolated too-1st class & decent prices too. Pies at £1 instead of £1.50 & not Hollands either! Great barracking from the Ultras-funny how Adam didn't plaudit them in his review???? Lets face it the Plods were smiling when they got some stick! Come on Adam, you can take a laugh can't U?????? After all u liked Coleys ring tone!!!!

i was laugh my head off I assure you. Last night was fun.
Can I just reiterate the sentiments of a few on this board. - What a a great football club Burscough is! - very friendly and accomodating and helped us out very well. I'm becoming fond of these so-called smaller clubs with no ego. Good luck to Burscough in the Unibond. Anyone else look around last night and marvel at what an achievement it was for them to win the F.A. Trophy. Great club and a credit to Lancashire football. |

Nice one Adam. Am hoping Eric invites the tea ladies over for the return leg. Good on the six or so Burscough fans who tried to give ultras some stick b4 they went one down. The manager of the under 11's also complimented the Stanley fans for encouraging the half time display & the Blues No 9 may have made an impression on Coley if he was watching as he did on the Ultra's "theres only one no 9" praise.
Funny how with our friendly fans there were do many plods about- were they expecting a takeover by Morecambe fans. Suppose their intelligence unit hadn't told them they are not in line for any silverware this season & may well riot after loosing their "potential" play off spot with their run in-Glad I'm a Stanley fan! I'm 20 years old and not yet a fully qualified journalist. Just learning the trade. The club has been fantastic with me and I don't like it when certain...
How do you get a degree at age 20? you said in an earlier post you were only 20 I thought real degrees took 4years? |
