Congratulations to Garinda on winning competition 19.

Each competition will run for 2 weeks, 12 days for uploading photo's and a further 2 days which can be used for voting only
During the 12 days uploading time you will be able to vote and there will be an option to cancel your vote if you feel a better picture has been submitted.
After the 12 day upload period, voting only will be allowed for 2 days then voting will be stopped.
Anyone can vote, you don't have to enter the competition to be entitled to a vote but it is 1 vote per person
The winner will get to choose a theme for the next competition ( You won't need to do anything else, the moderators will create the folder to be uploaded too)
UPLOADING ends at 10pm on the Friday night, you have 48 hours to VOTE (until 10pm Sunday UK time)
The winner then has 12 hours to PM Mick with the next THEME (PLEASE PM DO NOT POST THE NEW THEME ON SITE I COULD MISS IT PM ONLY PLEASE)
if I have not been contacted within this time Mick will pick the theme.
In the event of a tie the person who chose the theme will decide on the winner
4 entries are allowed per person
Anymore than this will be removed, your 1st 4 uploads will stay - later ones will be removed
All images must be your own work, scanned, digital, phone, video stills are all allowed, please dont use images off the web or from mags as we dont want Accyweb getting into trouble for hosting copyright images.
You will retain copyright of all your images.
Photo's altered with image editing software will be allowed

I think this could be a hard theme for some,
But not all the photo competitions are easy
so get your thinking caps on and get taking them photo's

I didn't chose it to be hard. Basically any photograph which has a shadow in it, or makes use of lighting.

I think there are some great photographs so far.:)

I thought it would be an interesting subject, but I must be a bit daft, as I have no idea what I'm going to enter.:D

Back in on my pic files but cant find owt. Since the duvet is still wide I might struggle to get one unless I use mi nogin a tad. Now where can I find a TV studio or theatre I can borrow???? ;)

Some lovely shots in this competition. I normally spot the one I vote for early on but there are three which I really like this time. It is going to be well hard to choose. Good subject, Rindy.

I think there were some stunning photographs, and I'm glad I chose this theme, even though I didn't know what on earth I was going to enter myself.

I've pm'd my choice of the winning photograph to Mick, so will let him announce whose it is tomorrow. My decision was based purely on the photograph's merit in fulfilling the brief, and congratulations to the winner.

On a personal note, one entry I though was outstanding was Talentedbutslow's 'Woods'. A truly beautiful photograph in my opinion.:)

Thankyou for your Congrats. I almost discarded that picture......I was down in Lee Bay earlier in the year and I was coming off the beach just as a young couple were leaving the patio of the hotel where we stayed......they had just finished this bottle of wine and once they had gone, all there was of the occasion was the empty bottle and glasses and the shadow on the wall.......call me a bit sloppy, but I found it a bit romantic...and took the pic.
When I got back to the room and looked at it I almost deleted it...glad I didn't now.
