Why do people give birds like swans mouldy bread:confused::( - that will poison them. Pigeons might eat it if hungry enough, pigeons even eat dog muck.

Well if mouldy bread is chucked in a pond, it causes poisonous algea, any bread just left in a pond leads to that also attracts rats who will eat mouldy bread.

Apart from it being a climb down in slippery mud, I don't pose the shots , just show it how it is, and the fact I hadn't a clue what it is ( well I had a few thoughts) and how it got this far down stream ?

It is a drill dummy, used for rescue training.
They also have one on every Fire Station so I'm curious as to how that one finished up where it did.

I sort of thought that it was along those lines, it certainly was a long way from home. Its location was in Hyndburn Brook in sight of the motorway bridge, and on a line with the Dunkenhalgh Hotel.
