This is a picture I kept from the Observer, showing the Horse Shoe Pub, corner of School Street and Crawshaw Street. I grew up in the house next door to the Pub.. the area was demolished around 1964...

thank you Bob... I think they lived Bold Street or near there.. I only met them once around mid fifties..at their house... so I not sure why he doesn't show up... On the 1911 census he is called...
