Jimmie Middlehurst used to give dancing demonstrations and suddenly, the lights went out, and he and his partner were lit up with fairy lights. It was very spectacular.

The whole family was killed, the pilot was given a bearing by Spanish Air Traffic to fly straight into mount Taedie It left only Geoffrey, God bless, he must have suffered.

A friend of mine, Jack, was an engineer at Whitebirk Power Station. He had an old Standard car in pristine condition. When he passed on I lost contact with his family.

I remember a house on Blackburn Road that took in lodgers. An acquaintance of mine stayed there once and a young lady jumped into bed with him. He said it was "outrageous". Never thought to hear that...

Not joking about the tunnel Bob. I found it when excavating with JCB. It was brick built and about five foot high, filled in towards the big Railway shed, but quite long towards Lonsdale St. Perhaps...

Best man for history is Bob Dobson, but Pearl House was at the top of Pearl St in its own grounds. There was a large underground tunnel from Pearl House grounds leading into Lonsdale St. Possibly...
