We had a Harvest Queen festival at Hyndburn Park (either Infants or Juniors) during the 50's when a queen and her attendants were chosen and wore long dresses but my memory fails there as I don't...

Has anyone ever heard from Velma Allen? She emigrated to Melbourne around 1956, at about 11 years old. She used to live in The Borough Arms on Cross Street. I would love to hear from her.

I remember Saul's in Black Abbey very well. As you went in at the main door, there was a long polished, wooden counter. Your groceries were weighed out and given to you across the counter to put into...

School Trip

Does anyone who was at Hyndburn Park Juniors around 1955 remember going on a holiday with the school to Paignton? Mr.Fradley was the head teacher at the time.

I remember you Shirley, I went to your Mum's dancing class between 1952 and 1955. We had wonderful costumes made for the concerts and I still have one of them. I particularly remember being on stage...
