That's on my Mum's side. My Dad's second cousin Dave Gaskell was Wrexham's goalie in the 1970s. He'd played for Manchester United before that.

Have to declare an interest in this. My great great great granddad Tom Heath played for Wrexham in their first match in 1864. In fact he came from a military town in Wiltshire. He was also a local...

I know the club has come on a lot since then but remember the problems Eric Whalley had selling the club with the chap from Barnoldswick being the only taker then Ilyas having to pull his cheque book...
