I find that the problem with netbooks is it is difficult to load anything, other than downloads, as they have no CD/DVD drive.

If I remember correctly, there was a possibility that the lightening bolt bounced off one of the pylons outside Huncoat school, in the fields. I was sat in the classroom there that day.

He will lose his allowance for being council leader, and I'm sure he may well lose many, if not all, of the chairmanships he holds...he was chair for 8 committee's according to HBC website.

Has Tesco ever been busy? Their opening hours are at the very extreme of the law too, opening at midnight Sunday / Monday and closing at midnight Saturday, before 11am-5pm opening on Sunday's. They...

I've just heard a story on facebook,posted by a Hyndburn Councillor, that the Tesco store has been sold to B & Q....anyone any further details?

I have heard that they were losing between £40 000...

It's actually 131.9p at Burnley Rd Spar, or was when I filled up this evening. However, it is still extortionate.

Apparently, the Independents decision to form a group came about as it then allows the council to give them seats on the various committee's, just as the Labour Group and Conservative Group can.

I know that Cllr Parkins stodd as an Independent at his last election. He had previously been a Labour Councillor but resigned after a fall out with their hierarchy and did not seek re election...
