May be the sexton doe's know his stuff but I would prefer documentary evidence that his word, he will only know wht he was told by the previous sexton, and so on, its a big gap between 1927 and now...

The last time I enquired about a burial at that grave yard I was told all the records are now at the Public Record Office in Preston.
