You cannot use your programs without an OS...and if that OS does not support the programs you need to use, then the OS is useless....just as your computer is useless.
So the OS does matter.

Windows 10 is reported to be the last Windows.
Microsoft are calling it a service so it is said that they will just continue to upgrade without bringing out any new versions.

Neil, it was formulated for touch screens rather than for mouse and keyboard.
I do not like the idea of the automatic updates...I like to choose what I want to update.

I did not take up the option of Windows 10.
I had a look at it on someone else's machine and decided it was not for me.
I suppose at some point I will have to upgrade to some new version...but...

My desk top is in my very messy craft room(back bedroom).all my design programs are on it and my craft projects past and present.i use my iPad on the go, but all my crafting is done from the desk...
