16 Dowry st would be just above the first street up from Whalley Rd right hand side. The Burrells, Frank @ Kathleen about 7/8 doors up from me.i was at 58.

Sorry don't remember that prep school, but going off the year of yer photo, were summat of the age i guess, perhaps Retlaw will know summat of it when he sees it?, Tis round his neck o the woods.:)

The daughter "Pauline" was in same class as me at St.Johns n her younger Brother "David" was in our kids class.;)

Mr Cookson was a nice bloke, but seemed to be terrified of me, after my behaviour once when coming round from the gas, so rather embarrassed i left the practice.:o:D

There was some owd wooden garages susie, on the left going down,behind what was a wall.:)twas weir at the bottom, but twas always all the pleck to us.

Had a cafe in the back claytonx, can never remember one upstairs. was on corner of Maudsley St, were yon chinese is now. was also a side door on Maudsley which took yeh straight in the cafe, though...

The pleck was what everyone called the road/path that ran from whalley rd right across from percys chippy, down to Bull Bridge, the Australian Inn was at the bottom right hand side, top right by...

nearly susie,the off licence was top corner Whalley Rd n Castle St, then there was 4/5 houses, me mate Tony Smith lived in one, also a decorater everyone called Mad Bob from Gotham City, a weirdo...

Across from percys chippy on the other corner was Walter Olletts Butchers, his daughter was in me class at St.Johns, n in the middle of that row was a Polish Guy who had a grocers a really nice guy...
