Jack hasn't worked for many years, he has some sort of Arthritis, whether he was ever a miner I don't know but he is 65, the same age as me and who he married I don't know

Na don't know where Jimmy Gudgeon is and Jim Mclean will be about 69 or 70, I was his happyrentice when I first left school and worked at Townley's in Manor Street, went to his 21st at the Queens pub...

Gudgeon and Mclean, Jimmy Gudgeon and Jim Mclean, both worked at shopfitters before setting up on their own Jim Mac still lives in Ossy behind Rhyddings Park

Still can't remember any fights though Rycroft, I went to the youth club from being twelve till they packed it in around Christmas 1964, those who attended just weren't into that fisticuffs

Thanks for that beechy couldn't remember Dougies last name, the reason I said the Britannia, is I think he used to go in there sometimes. Didn't know he was no longer here

Thanks kate, can always remember it being cobbled, because my Dad had a garage at the bottom of the Straits next to the Nash Club, and the bone shaking ride I endured getting the car out for work
