It became Savannahs then Club 53. Apparently all closed down now, include the old Concorde/Sidewalk bar

Never went out in Burnley much, ( I was more Nelson/Brierfield in those days ) don't recall going in the Concorde. Was it on the little alleyway near the Bus station.?

Yes it was. Only name that springs to mind for me was somebody called Gordon who seemed to arrange a lot of the away travel those days

The landlord and landlady who I helped out were called David & Sharon, I think it was about 78/79 ( I was only a nipper :) )

When I was looking after the OH the Broadway was run by a bloke called Bob, I think he was Irish ? He never seemed to be sober :)

Yes it was a big Clarets pub. They used to meet in there for home and away matches regardless of time they were setting off. If front door wasn't open back door was :D

It was across from the bus stops, think most of them were Ribble buses in those days !! Was it on the corner of Water St ?

When I said across from Adelphi I meant sort of ish :D

I ran the pub for a few weeks in the late ermmm 70's or was it early 80's while the landlord and landlady were switching pubs lol

Suprised they managed to convert it into anything else. Was one of the old tap room/snug pubs where you wpied your feet on the way out :D

It did change it's name later from what I remember, but can't remember what to lol. Was the one across from the Adelphi

Old House At Home Pub

Has anyone got any old photos of Melbourne St which show the Old House At Home pub. Trying to explain to somebody today where it was and I got blank looks :)
