Thanks for linking to my site at www.theviewfromthenorth.org. :) If the owners had actually got round to securing and maintaining the building, e.g. replacing the large window which had mysteriously fallen in on the top floor, then who knows, it might not have got into such a sorry state. But...

Is coming second the worst way to lose?

People scoff at the 'losers' in any form of competition, and yet to have lost means you're out there taking part, putting in the hours and commitment to bettering yourself. I've been there and done it, and I'd rather do that and come second than be fat, lazy and opinionated! :D

Just seen this now, I've been in contact with someone supposedly from Laxio (who are part of this HR Developments or whatever they're called), about taking some photos inside Cannon St. Church. They're saying redevelopment will start at the end of september. So are this lot for real or not? Do...

    Urban Exploration craze

From the people I know who go and climb tower cranes and do what is known as 'infiltration', e.g. finding a way into the Coronation Street set, or the Big Brother set, it's more a case of evading security, than breaking into things. Not something I'm into myself mind, but I'm not into it for the...

    Urban Exploration craze

As willowthwhisp pointed out, people do go into buildings to keep warm, it's squating. I don't know the legal standpoint on that, I own my own warm house, fully locked and alarmed.:) Trespass is a criminal offence on certain properties, not all, as I outlined above. If you force access...

    Urban Exploration craze

Sorry to go gravedigging and drag up an oldish thread. Let's kill some popular misconceptions, no doubt provoked by an hysterical local media looking for a story, and a badly researched one at that. Urban Exploration is NOT, repeat NOT about breaking into buildings. As has been pointed out...

It was the journalist who wrote the article who tipped me off about this thread - they asked me a few questions about the place and also if they could use my pictures but when I said I'd want paying for their use, they lost interest. Still, you can see the rest of them at The View From The...

    Accy Con Club

Chrismg, no worries. I'm not from Accy but am fairly local - I roam the county so I regard myself as a Lancastrian rather than pigeon holing myself. :)And I was tipped off about this thread by someone. I've no other information about the place I'm afraid. I try to research the places I visit...

    Accy Con Club

Chrismg, if you care to use my pictures, please ask, or at least have the courtesy to credit me or link to my site. As someone who has been in the club recently, I can confirm that the interior is not in great condition. As can be seen from the pictures (taken in April) the window has fallen...
