Thanks Susie, I always thought it was my imagination making me feel better but it seems I was right, soda water definitely works!

Has anyone gone back to the first pages of this thread, I have found it quite amusing to see the change in opinions!

I find soda water to be a very good hangover cure and a very good tummy settler if you aren't hung over but feel a bit dodgy, I don't know why because I don't know what it contains!

Baby wipes are very good for cleaning and nourishing leather furniture.

My cheese and onion pie is popular, I got the recipe about 30 years ago from the cook when I worked in a home for elderly people - but at the risk of being controversial I think Birds Eye chicken pies taste really good even though they might be full of rubbish! And I do like Cissie Greens pies too.

My most favourite is Wham Last Christmas because I love thesong and video but it also brings back lovely family memories. Followed by The Pogues Fairytale of New York and Bing Crosby White Christmas then everything else no matter how rubbish!

I haven't posted on here for a while but had to respond to Less with this one - my message to the government would be either ban cigarettes which you can't because of the enormous revenue it creates or shut up and let the smokers who have contributed to the economy just get on with it - please!

I like it by Gerry and the Pacemakers, I went to Reidys in Blackburn having seen the Beatles on the then equivalent of Granada Tonight but couldn't remember their name - I was only seven - so ended up with Gerry!

How come you haven't been prosecuted for non payment of council tax? It usually happens within a few months and you will also be charged a lot extra. Likewise although it takes a bit longer the water people will eventually get you. I don't really understand how you have got away without paying...
