The illusion that it was a cave was good enough for me. Blame the people who labelled it 'gamblers cave' for my error. I only know what I was taught. I was obviously taught a load of cobblers. It still was the closest thing we have to natural beauty. The rock, grass, the air and water were all...

Ta for confirming it Bernadette. Thanks for the links margaret. Still can't believe this. I need a whiskey.... John

Hi fellow Accringtonians, I’ve had this thing bugging me for a few days now. I’ll explain to you what it is that’s annoying the crap out of me. I’ll try to play as nice as I can, but I warn you in advance that a few harsh words might be said about whoever is responsible for this (and once you...

Thanks people.... Some people may remember my thread "why is church forgotten". If you don't have a look at it, it shows my naivity in thinking people around here have hearts and that there are actually decent people around here. I think that the whole of Accrington and the population of the...

Merry Christmas Shaz! Have a good one ;) John

Hi, Please visit MySpace.com - R-Jak - UK - Alternative - www.myspace.com/rjak and have a listen to 'Happy Christmas'. Jack is 4 years old and from Accrington, it would be nice to get some local support, so far we haven't had a great deal of support locally. Hopefully this track will be...

I was with AOL (AOHELL) years ago. They charged me money I didn't owe them, which I didn't pay. Then they took the money from my account without my consent, by the time I'd cancelled the Direct Debit they'd already took the money. They basically took it as soon as it was put into the account...

This is typical of places like PC World and doesn't surprise me in the least. Exactly why I build all my computers myself and pay half of what they would charge at places like that. Obviously everyone can't build computers, but if you know anyone that knows about basic technology, it isn't hard...

:) Yes, and supposedly we went to the moon using less processing power than a calculator  To dispell a few myths, the PC isn't actually fast as such, it's only as fast as my single core, which is the same clock speed and fbs as this, plus they both have DDR400 pc3200 RAM. If I showed...

Put it this way; It ain't exactly something you can go and buy from PC World :D John

Hi, I don't understand how to fully work the vista start menu myself, but I know how to get it to work like XP: Start>Control Panel>Appearance and Personalisation>Taskbar and Start Menu>Customise the start menu Click on the start menu tab, choose 'Classic start menu', then ok. Now it...

Didn't the original post say influential 60s rock groups? B*witched, 60s, rock group? What the hell? That doesn't add up to me. I agree with Cashman; Bowie is an influence that can't be ignored, beats B*witched, who aren't from the 60s, are not a rock group and have no influence over todays...

Being a "music producer" I can tell you the attraction. She has a very good voice, in that it's strong and it can carry a song very well with little instruments, plus she has a pretty good vocal range. This being said, I still think that she is an eyesore to look at and I'm not a particular fan...

At the moment, the software is 32-bit and there's no 64-bit version (otherwise I'd have it already). It's coded in Delphi and Delphi haven't released a 64-bit coding environment as of yet. The developers say they're going to make a 64-bit version asap, Dephi say the tools/software should be...

Hi, What I meant about the RAM is allowing more RAM to be used by the OS. At the moment I've got 8GB RAM, but only 4GB can be used by vista, 2GB of this can be used by my music production software. If I had a 32-bit OS then only 2GB could be used by windows. This is why I'd like microsoft to...
