I think it's a Conservative Mayor this year so as we have a Conservative Council they obviously think it's a really important thing. Last year's Mayor making event was one day but of course, it was a Labour Mayor.

I always count magpies, prefering to see 5 or 6, than just one. I say 'God's speed' when I drop important post into the post box and I put a coin in any purse, wallet or bag that I'm giving to someone as a present. I don't bother about Friday 13th, ladders or salt though.
