Online Commentry on BBC Derby

Just a thought, has anyone had any feedback from the players about what effect the silent protest had on them for the first 10 minutes of the game. Maybe it was just a coincidence theey went 1-0 down in that time, certainly the singing had a positive effect for the rest of the game.

Born and bred in Accy ( Roughlee 1946 ), went to Peel Park Infants then Juniors and lived on Burnley Road ( bottom of Peel Park Ave ), and went to my first Stanley game in 1958, trained with the Stanley juniors as goal keeper till the demise in '62 when we were told not to turn up for training...

Only thing I've been able to find so far is on Sky Sports Live Score Centre under friendlies on page 7. Shows the score as 0 - 0, but whether it's updating I'm not sure because most scores are showing as 0 - 0.

Only just tuned in and it was just a one liner, no scorers mentioned.

1 - 1 at the moment according to The Bee.

As at 11.00am this morning, Stanley are 7th in league 1 qualifyer, with Morcambe at the top, quite a big points gap, so lets get playing and see if we can knock them off the top..

Had a go at this last weekend, took some getting used to, and very addictive. Stanley were about 8th in the First Division, but the points gap was too much to get them further up before the league finished. Well worth a try, and if enough of us play it........... well who knows, this could well...

Andy, no taking that away from Worcester, they were good on the night, just as Harrogate Town were against Scarborough last Saturday to knock them out of the FA cup, and look what Scarborough have done, certainly not letting any grass grow there. http://www.scarboroughfc.co.uk/frame.htm

Smiffy16, is your opinion based on a sentimental point of view, or a profesional one, sadly there is no room for sentiment in business, and that includes soccer. The best player for the position has to be picked for the better of the team, not the best liked.

Your post referred that Stanley were never a league club.. The club is still Accrington Stanley, we still play in Accrington, I've supported them through thick and thin since 1953 when they were a league club, lets just leave it at that.

I think if you check your football history, you will find that Accrington Stanley were in the Football League for 41 years ( from 1921 to 1962 ) and also that the original Accrington FC were in actual fact one of the 12 founder members of the Football league. Just thought you might be...

4 - 0 now, how dissapointing..
