    Irritating overuse/misuse of particular words.

I agree on 'literally'. "I was literally, walking down the street today..." No need. And don't' get me started on 'obviously', either!Especially it seems when I call my bank or a call centre of any sort. "Well obviously the reason this has happened is obviously that you obviously did this so...

    "Poo dunnit"

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I had to share what happened to me and Mr Sunflower earlier! We were walking our two dogs and he had just picked up after one of them, approaching the bin we saw about five children aged from about 5 to 10 ish, rummaging in it, getting out bags of poo and...

    School Dinners

I've never had one! Always had packed lunches. One day when I was about 5 I forgot my packed lunch and had to go and get a school dinner, I didn't know what to do and another little girl had to tell me when to get a plate and stuff and I was SO embarrassed-and I sat down to eat it and then my...

    Beware

How awful. I was once in Morrison's in Preston and weighed myself in the pharmacy. Went to do some shopping, two minutes later realised I'd left my purse on top of the weighing scales! I panicked, and RAN almost into an elderly lady who was carrying my purse and had recognised me-she got the...

    B.B.King

Envious of all who got to see him! Story of hardship and success-loved listening to his voice. Fascinating man. RIP.

    "Poo dunnit"

Dog poo is dangerous in that it can cause potential diseases that can cause blindness and even be fatal. Horse poo doesn't. Horse poop is mostly digested vegetation. Also, horse poop is much easier to see. It annoys me (as an owner of two dogs!) to see folk not picking up after their dogs...

    alternative care for elderly

It wouldn't work for everyone, does anything? But for those for whom it would, I think It's a great idea. I've been doing basically this, but only part of the week, for my Grandmother, recently. I think a lot of mainstream 'care' neglects the fact that physical, practical 'care' is obviously...

What does your dog do when your out?

Aww he's gorgeous and looks such a happy chap :) Thanks for sharing that. I want to do one now! What sort of camera did you use please? I have two of them now as my last blog stated-I'd love to see what they get up to :)

    More creations.

These are amazing, Margaret-I am one of many asking you to do a card for me-I wish I was artistic but I'm not. If you're not too busy I'll put in an 'order' (I do hate that word). :)

    What makes a good/bad forum?

I think a good forum is one where people are treated equally, innocent until proven guilty, I suppose I mean. People are allowed opinions, allowed to be given that right of being a valued and appreciated member, no matter what their background or culture or race or whatever. I have found...

    I didn't want another dog. I reeeeeeeeeally didn't.

Thanks everyone. I feel bad for not particularly wanting him, knowing him and how I'd never part with him now! I couldn't believe how filthy he was, and his ears felt like a cloth that had been used to clean a 100 ovens then then left to fester for a year, he honestly smelt like a sewage works...

    Today I Single-handedly........

It does look very good! I am having an ongoing bicker with the other half about this very thing. Whilst I love the way yours looks, polished (literally) and homely, our floor isn't like yours. Himself has a penchance for the 'rustic' look. Our floorboards are natural, they're sanded and...

    My name is Margaret.....

I only wish I had your enthusiasm! Varnishing my nails is too much trouble for me! I agree about wallpapering. Neill has done all that in this house. Looks far too much like hard work to me, and I am scared of making a mistake and starting all over again. Paint I can handle, at least you can...
