Your going to have to jog my ancient memory here, wasn't Sharnall the res opposite Gatty park?
I suppose youv'e been swimming at the Bull Head bridge too eh?
Another spot was just to the east of the Swing Bridge (Nr Joseph Arnolds)..
I didn't like the leeches there though!!
If my wife could...
I presume you guys are talking about "earth.google.com"
When you say the image distorts what do you mean exactly?
When running google earth most of the places in the UK are in low resolution so when you zoom in on Accy for instance it will look really bizzare.
Try looking around Manchester...
I remember playing around those pond's when I was at school as well. We got our critters from there to stock the pond that we built in one of the Quadrangle's at the Cromwell building at Moorhead, I should imagine that's been filled in too.
I remember that upturned vehicle in Rogans pond so...
Are the little pond's still there on the hill above Hagg's lodge?
There's another pond I remember too (Rogans pond?) it used to be full of disused vehicles and such.
This was situated on the hill immediately behind the "clock garage" on Hyndburn rd.
Cheers,
Dennis
Well I think they should build it on "Whinney Hill Tip".
This post is not a troll, I'm serious.
I left Accy over ten years ago and I've been browsing around this site going down memory lane etc etc waffle waffle.
Anyway I can't believe what a state the place is in now, I used to play in...

There used to be something similar just to the east of the tracks by Accy railway station, I know they haven't existed there for donkeys now but I distinctly remember the bollocking I got from my mum for playing in there.
I saw something about that's where they where stashing the bodies after...
Hi Mick,
I used to play around this area when I was a lad, ecky thump!
We used to call them "the fairy caves" no idea why but I'm curious about those too.
Cheers,
Dennis.
Hi Ernie,
Well if you've no room for aerials try "echolink" its Ham Radio over the I'net.
I go on it every now and again from home.
We have a repeater just to the south of us (VE6LOS) it's tied into echolink so just dial her up and you come out on the air over at this end.
I'm normally over on...
Used to be G1UBZ, lived up Dill Hall.

Dennis.
