Fred Hamer (1898-1972) was my grandfather and worked in the wages dept at Howard & Bullough for 12 years until his retirement. This was probably 1951 to 1963.
He lived at 4 Belfield Road from at least 1956 until his death and shared the house with a childless widow called Mrs Rosina Heys...
