A trip away.

My daughter and her hubby are off to London on Friday.
This is to celebrate one of those landmark birthdays that we all have from time to time.....
Daughter was struggling to decide what to get him(this was in September)....and I spotted a trip to the Tutankhamun exhibition....I know he likes things like that, and suggested that to her.
'What a good idea' was her response....but wait a minute what about the tinlids.
No problem really....I said...... I would come over and stay at theirs.....Tiddler loves me sleeping on the fold up bed in his bedroom....he is always asking me to do 'sleepovers'.
It seemed a long time away when the trip was booked....but it has crept up on us quietly and is set for this weekend.
They get picked up in Accrington at 7.30 on Friday morning......and I suppose they will be down in London by early afternoon...so time to look around the shops in Islington....and then I think they have more free time on Saturday morning before the exhibition....then home late Saturday.
I think it will be good for both of them....daughter goes back to Uni the following Monday...but has worked hard on some projects during the holidays......and son in law has just started a new job.
I hope they won't stress out and worry about what is happening back home.
I just want them to have a pleasurable weekend.

I have told Tiddler that if he is a good boy he can stay up and watch some TV......I have promised to take 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' over for them to watch.
I have bought us a bag of Cheddar and Red Onion Crisps....and we will have a glass of shandy (pretend shandy)...he can't wait.
I have told both of them that we will have a 'party tea'...or as it was in my day....a tea party....with little sandwiches, sausage on sticks....cheese cubes with pineapple....and we will have either ice cream with sprinkles or trifle for afters.
I'm just hoping that the pair of them behave themselves, because at the moment they fight like cat and dog......I'm keeping the St John's wort handy just in case....that and a six inch nail......I might just hang one of them on the wall.
