Alone....

Oh my God! I've overslept!!!!! Just done some nights and normally sleep until lunchtime after my last night. I remember my alarm going off at 1pm and me just thinking I'll have another 5 minutes. 4.15 I woke up. I'm not working tonight, so I'll be heading back to bed in another 5-6 hours. What a waste of a day....
Sparky came round this morning before I went to bed. He flew to Poland this morning to work for a week, so I'm all alone. I will have to try and make a start on my assignment for Uni while he's away. I'm doing a critical care module as part of my degree. The tutor has never done any critical care in her life. I'll eat hay with a donkey if she has. She skirts around every question we ask her and never gives a straight answer. I remember working with her several years ago before she went into teaching. She used to work 20 hours a week but only actually worked about half and hour of that. The rest of us were running round like daft buggers trying to get stuff done while she was sat on her arse. She's obviously as good a teacher as she was a midwife and I'm not being bitchy, merely honest. It's a bloody farce is this module, although we had a lecture from Dr Rose one of our Anaesthetic consultants last week and he is brilliant, and actually knows what he's doing. Ah well, the assignment may get started this week. I have a feeling that my social life will take off again when Sparky comes back.

Lettie you must have needed the sleep......cut yourself some slack girl...remember you have done some extras recently.
As for the college lecturer...... they are so far removed from real situations that they wouldn't recognise critical if it bit 'em on the bum. They always used to say 'Them that can, do. Them that can't, teach' and while I have known some fair teachers I have also known a number who couldn't cut the mustard. Dr Rose......now he is a star and blessed with common sense too......I used to enjoy listening to Merton Seiglemann too...... though when I was a student he used to scare the pips out of me. If he taught you anything he expected you to have the courtesy to remember it.

Dr Rose was the anaesthetist when I had my caesarian...Top bloke!
