It is always sad to lose someone who had such an influence on not just the music scene, but the promotion of womens rights too.
She had a long and productive life...she has left lots of soulful music behind to remember her by.

A massive loss to the world. The best female singer of the modern era with a voice that could send shivers down your spine, without relying on modern studio contrivances. A warm and passionate woman who conducted herself with grace and dignity.
