I regaled everyone yesterday with my tale of the MP3 player........well, I'm glad there were already 4 tracks on the thingummy to start with or I wouldn't have known if it was working.
The gadget came with quite a thick little booklet of instructions......in very small print. My eyes aren't what they once were so that caused a bit of anguish for me.... I am being totally honest with you.......I read them through and was no wiser. It was as clear as mud to me. Anyway, I felt sure it couldn't be too difficult so I plugged the little gizmo into the PC........the machine recognised the new bit of kit straight away......which I thought it would.
I tried to load one of my favourite CDs and it went on OK.....but the gadget didn't play the music......it just carried on with the 4 thumpy tracks already pre-loaded. I did a bit of head scratching and put the thing back in its box. This was not going to be quite as easy as I thought. We had the anklebiter with us too, so my mind was not really too focused......I'm sure that little boy is going to be a safe cracker.....he can get into anything. Oh, by the way HR......it was the toddler who got the star.....not the son-in law.
Instead of reading a novel before going to sleep last night I thought I would give the instructions another squiz......still didn't enlighten me.
I returned to the problem after lunch......maybe the files needed to be converted or given a file extension......I don't really understand these things that well, but I thought I would give it a go.......magic, I now have a fully operational MP3 player......with some of my very favourite music on. See, I'm not as thick as I look......! Oh and Mick, thanks for the offer of help, you are a gem!
