It has been a strange week so far. Sparks went to America to work on Saturday for 10 days. He is working in a small town called Trenton in Missouri which is home to just 6,000 people. On the satellite map it is a little dot of a town surrounded by fields and hills. I was prepared for the fact that his mobile phone probably wouldn't achieve a signal there but I did hope that his hotel would have internet access. There only appear to be 2 or 3 motel type places in the area the information about these motels doesn't mention internet access. I haven't heard from him since Saturday night when he landed in Atlanta and was awaiting an onward flight to Kansas City. I am worried, I have no idea if he's got there safely. I have tried to send him a text but had no reply. I have sent him some private messages but heard nothing back. I have to assume that if anything has happened to him somebody would have let me know, but it is strange not being in touch.

The dissertation is due to be handed in in just 5 weeks or so. I have done the bulk of the writing now and have started editing. I have fully edited 3 chapters, it sounds like a lot but believe me, I have done the easiest 3 chapters first. I have my last chapter, conclusion and introduction to edit yet. Even with editing the three chapters my word count is creeping up. I now have over 10,500 words and I'm only allowed a maximum of 11,000 so I may have to start chopping after I have edited. I feel like time is running out now although Jason was quite relaxed about the whole thing and made it sound like I have plenty of time. I have to try and have a complete draft ready and e mailed to him by 19th July, this will give him time to read it and send it back in time for a final edit.

The thing with reading your own work is that you don't tend to see your own mistakes. Sparks has read a couple of the chapters and queried one or two mistakes which I have since rectified, but he will be in Siberia in July so will be unable to help. If any bloggers out there want to pm me their e mail adresses so I can e mail you a copy to read and edit, then please feel free. I have to warn you though............ You will probably find it more tedious to read than my blog.:D

Good luck with the editing.

I did mine when a full time student and I've already told you I admire the way you've studied so hard as well as holding down a demanding job.

You'll be bored when you've finished it all- NOT!:)
