In 2020 Holt's main company went from around ?3m profit in 2019 to ?10m and stayed higher at ?6m in 2021.

This was likely COVID related and likely to be excess profits (only exist in the short term in basic economics) out of the public purse. Then cries about a 2p rise and rage quits twitter serval times as showing his true colours.

Chewbacca, sorry I don't see the connection. Increasing NI is an out and out tax on jobs and increases costs for many businesses like football clubs. If costs go up income must go up to cover them. Stanley always struggles because it doesn't have enough supporters. The cost of keeping going goes up every year due to general inflation. When something big like an increase in employment costs happen.......income including ticket prices also have to increase.......or the club goes bust again like we did in 1962. And I don't want to go through that again. We've had many owners over the years...and believe me Andy Holt is one of the better ones......

Here is a very trivial illustration as to how the club can never seem to win when they try to satisfy some people.

Apparently lots of fans asked Warren Eastham why there could not be an option of having gravy and/or peas with the pies on sale in the kiosks.
Yum, yum, what s not to like?

So, the caterers went to the trouble and expense and supplied gravy and peas.

And that first Saturday, four (4) portions were sold.

Don t know what happened to the unsold gravy and peas, but I doubt they could keep them for two weeks for the next home game.

Result (admittedly minor in the grand scheme of things) a financial loss.

Hopefully more pie eaters will opt for gravy and/or and it will become a success.

But if they don?t, and the options get withdrawn because too few are buying them, I expect there to be complaints about that.

The full fans forum is on UTUBE via the Accrington Stanley Website - News Section. The sound is a bit "echoy" you may need headphones or earphones. Its about 1 hour and a half........

Most meetings inside Coleys are, to my abused ears, very echo?echo?echoey?especially when microphones are used.

Whilst I was very pleased to hear that (very costly) work is going ahead to reduce noise from the building (and thus help reinstate the licence) I was a bit disappointed to hear that it will occur externally, on top of the existing roof. If it had been internal it may have improved acoustics inside the building.
But, hey ho, can?t have everything.

2p an hour when you are 10 million quid up with public purse help.

The employment costs had gone up far higher in previous years to decrease in work benefits and not a peep from him.

The way Eastham treats volunteers who he no longer needs, and they missed the early bird deadline so packed it in after he ignores contact, will cost far more than the gravy.

Sorry still don't see how the things your talking about are connected. I don't like other people telling me how to spend my money, you however may be different?

I am well aware that we all have different opinions and we are entitled to them. I think Andy Holts done a lot of good for Accrington Stanley, because he's a Fan first and Owner second. I'm not sure why football fans feel entitled to expect owners to constantly spend their own money on the club and team with no chance of getting any of it back......maybe you do? As for Mr Eastham I don't know him or have I had reason to speak or deal with him, but from the comments on here from people I like and respect I don't like the sound of him. I do know one thing, good managers who run businesses aren't always liked by everyone and there's no guarantee that they are popular with customers. So maybe, let's hope he does such a good job that he gets a better job with another bigger club.......Shrewsbury at home Saturday so glad we're getting points on the board. At least I hope we can agree John and Ged are doing a good job with the team......COYR!

Listened - as best as is possible - to the Chief Executive talking the other night.

I think I got most of it, but I could not get everything about season tickets - so will have to await the information coming out.

As it was read from a script with pre-asked questions, I would have liked to have had the transcript posted on the website to hear?!

At least those who attended will have been able to hear properly :)

Looking on the Web, the OASST.......supporters trust have regular meetings with Mr Eastman and the minutes of the meetings are posted on thrir website. Also there's a lot of interesting information about Stanley...history, managers, honours won, seasons performances etc.....etc....All worth a look......and there's a "thumbnail" which brings up a form for reporting supporters concerns and suggestions about the Club and what it does. Maybe you could use that route to explain your concerns? They say they'll keep supporters updated if they raise something and report back with answers. Worth a try maybe?

I did hear him say that we sold around 740 season tickets last time round, which is about the right number.

I should think we will do more this time around, as they will get them out sooner and offer the installment from the off :)
