I am feeling all smug and superior today.. I have finally finished the Christmas shopping apart from a couple of bits that I can get at Asda. I have also finished my assignment apart from a proof read and printing.
To celebrate finishing the shopping today, I took myself out for the obligatory lunch. I was in Manchester for the shopping so I thought why not? Of course, this did include the customary glass of red wine with my meal..
I treated myself to a new coat after lunch, but regretted the amount of heavy bags that I had to lug onto the bus. Surprisingly I never fell asleep coming home. The bus was heaving and I was sat opposite a lady on the way home and we nattered the whole way back. I have a hell of a lot of wrapping to do tonight, but because I've missed my 40 winks, I may have them now.
I also have some packing to do.......I have managed to get a flight this weekend to Paris. Sparks is picking me up from the airport so that we can go out and celebrate his birthday. I will be back home on sunday though, it's just a flying visit. Better than nowt though...
