It was supposed to be 21st June....it was put back a month on dodgy statistics.
Now it is looking like it might be further postponed because of twitchy squeaky bummed professors who are neither epidemiologists or virologists.
They are saying that the NHS will not cope....yet the number of deaths remain low.
Recent studies have shown that a third of people in hospital with the virus went into hospital for something else.....and that the average current stay is 24 hours(or less in many cases).
The vaccination program rolls on and a large proportion of the population have been vaccinated...it is reported that 62% of all adults have had both jabs.
So what is the message that this gives to the population....’get jabbed, but it doesn’t protect you’
Those who are jabbed are being encouraged to still do testing.....and still have to isolate if the have a positive test...yet less than 1% are infectious(according to recent studies).
During this pandemic I have not worn a mask. I have an exemption lanyard and card.
I have taken sensible precautions.....and will continue to do so.
Come the 19th of July I was looking forward to getting on a bus and going on a much anticipated bus ride....somewhere with a pier....fish and chips, sea, sand.....ozone....a breeze to blow away the cobwebs.
And you know what...I might just go regardless.
My life has been on hold for long enough.
