Gadgets or underpants?

Today we went to Bury.......the place, not to dig a hole.
We leave the car at home and get on the bus.
It is about an hour of a ride. I pass the time by listening to music on my MP3 player.

We have a mooch round the market....and what a market it is. PB could do to go and take some lessons from Bury on how it is done.

Sometimes we don't buy anything much..... other times we come back loaded with goodies.
Fresh meat, veggies, Creamy Lancashire cheese(for Ma - she loves it) and himself usually gets a couple of black puddings......eeeww.

Today himself took me into a well known electrical retailers........he wanted me to look at one of those Kindle e readers.
This got me worried. He only usually does something like this when he has a much more expensive purchase up his sleeve( for himself that is). I think that perhaps his mind works like this.....'Hmmm, If I buy her some gadget or other, then she will be so busy sorting it out, making it useful, that she won't notice I have bought a new car'
Dream on buddy! I've got the measure of you.

The only other reason I can think of is to earn some brownie points for making a mess of the carpet with the candle wax!
Don't tell me you have forgotten about that........I haven't. The stain(much reduced though it is)is still there.

Or maybe it is to make up for his callous treatment of me when I had to go for my Mammogram.......parking miles away from the unit, and allowing me to go out into the teeth of a gale....then laughing about it.

These incidents are not forgotten, they are filed away for future reference.

Anyway I would much rather he got some new underpants!

P.S. I didn't buy the bookreader....and he didn't buy any undercrackers:rolleyes:.

could be any of those reasons, then again it could be the simple fact he loves yeh. summat many women miss completely.

No Cashy, it has to be something much more devious than that.......that is far too simple an explanation....especially after 44 years......the flush of passion is dissipated now....anyway if he loves me so much how come he was going to let me PAY for it myself....eh?:)

It could be he has been looking over your shoulder when your posting on the Kindle thread and thought you might like to see one.

No Mick...he definitely hasn't been doing that ...he watches TV downstairs........I'm up in the back bedroom tapping away........he huffs and puffs if there is something on 'tinternet'he really wants to look at...that is when I fire up the alternative...the laptop. Even then, he loses interest pretty quickly.

Anyway now I have seen one I am not that impressed.

I suggest you let him keep wearing his holy underwear.
The time to be concerned is when he requests designer underwear - (I have had personal experience of the end of a relationship that followed such a request);)

Oh, that's a thought Margaret.
I wouldn't be buying him designer underwear.......M&S maybe....Matalan, perhaps.
If he asked for D&G I would set fire to his ar$£.......and tell him to laugh that off!
