As I remarked in one of my earlier blogs......I am trying to be organised for this weekends jaunt down to Devon. Because we are going to a caravan park we thought that we would dispense with suitcases for our packing......they take up too much room in the boot and are pretty inflexible things.
We decided that we would take our clothes in black bin bags......but they are just a bit flimsy unless you get the garden waste variety. I decided that the plastic woven laundry bags would be just the job......so I went ahead and bought two.....one for daughter and hubby and one for me.
All this week I have been putting clothes aside that I thought I would like to take with me........it wasn't much of a pile at all.
I searched out a big white bag that I thought would do for us to take to the beach.....it is roomy and waterproof and has a zip top.
I looked at my little pile of clothes and wondered if the things I had put to one side would go in this roomy beach bag......nah !
I have never travelled light anywhere I have gone. I have a little problem....I like to be covered for all eventualities......so I usually pack for all varieties of weather. However, this time because I am aware that there will be a pram and a buggy in the boot, I have been ruthless. I HAVE managed to get all my clothes into the beach bag......I have another small bag that am going to put my shoes, toiletries and the cameras in......and that is it.......I'm packed. I just hope that we can hire an iron at the other end.
Chewy has already gone on his holidays......I have put him into kennels today so that if I don't get on here tomorrow, I don't have to worry about him, although I think it is highly unlikely. I am going to need to get my fix of Accyweb before I go away.......and hopefully when I get back I will have some tales to tell.
