Well, it is here....2005. I haven't made any resolutions, I think they are pointless......and anyway why wait for a new year to harden your resolve.
I didn't do anything exciting on New Years Eve......didn't even stay up to see it in......I thought, what the heck....it is still going to be here in the morning...i can see it then. Went to bed with a good book and fell asleep.... but was awakened by the fireworks going off at the Dunkenhalgh(presumably, as it is the nearest place that would have some celebrations going on).
We were invited over to our daughters place for dinner....I think she thought it was only fair as I had cooked at Christmas and New Year for the past 2 years. Had lovely roast beef with all the trimmings.... and Jam roly poly for afters with a huge blob of Haagen-Das ice cream.....was full to busting.....it was lovely.
I know it is Sunday today and we usually have a roast, but because of all the rich food we have had recently I thought I would cook something mundane......cottage pie with cauliflower cheese and NO AFTERS!
