I am just glad that Ma is not with us....I would be guilty of civil Disobedience, because I would have had to go there most days.

She probably would have said she would put the chain on the door....and I would have said I would take wire snips....or I would climb over the back wall.
I would have been going to check on her....and take her home cooked food....checking her temperature, her blood pressure and do her blood sugars.
And if any bobby in a jam butty car wanted to challenge me....well, all I can say is, it would not have been pleasant.

Many of the restrictions are 'guidance' only....they are not enshrined in law.
The majority of the population are doing what has been asked of them....and with grace.
An evergreen survey reveals that 88% of the population have no symptoms...nor do their immediate families.
Now you might say this is because they are staying in lockdown, but these people could be at work making sure the economy is not killed stone dead.
The coronavirus will kill more people who never got infected because they will have no jobs, their homes will be repossessed and unless something very radical is done to prevent it, there will be abject poverty.
