I apologise for not updating my journal for a little while but life just pootles on and sometimes there isn't much of any note to mention. I don't have anything outstanding to say now but I thought I might have a ramble.
This month's meet seemed really interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed the moans and groans on the thread. It's strange how most folks get used to the places they know and entering the unknown is a little scary. It seems that you all had a really good time so I reckon the beer wasn't 'plastic stuff'. Would have been great to go! I did check out the pics.
Sunday bowling was a bit of a disappointment as Doreen and I were beaten 6 - 2 by the ´im indoors team, Jeff and Brian. We always try so hard to beat them and the rest of the bowling alley cheer us on. Unfortunately, we couldn´t manage it today. We´ll get them next time!
I´ve been saving one Euro coins for a few weeks in the hope that my wish list might be fulfilled. At the last count I had seventy plus and now I´m enjoying the thought of spending them. What shall I have? I would really like a printer/scanner/copier but then again how good would a dvd burner be? Happen I might cart on for another few weeks and have both!!
A little chuckle to end. We were down the local bar during the week and happened to see this blind chap being helped to the loo by his wife. It did start a little discussion between us on how we could cope with such a thing. We both agreed, being avid readers and computer users, that it was something that we both dreaded. Then, the barmaid, having seen all this...........shouted ´the light switch is on the right´!! Hopefully, he ´saw´the funny side too!
