Reading my own Stuff.

Is it being conceited when you read your own back blogs?

The other day when I couldn't get on the general forum because I was timed out...for nearly six hours......I could access the blogs.

So I clicked on the button for a random blog.
Of course it brought up one of mine. Well, I wasn't too surprised at that.......after all I do have the most blog entries on here. That is only because Rindy gave up blogging.
I'm sure if he has still been writing I would still be lagging far behind him.
Anyway I spent a very entertaining couple of hours reading my own blogs and re-visiting the pictures I had put on.
It was like having my own time machine.
I could visit the places I went to with Ma....and daft as it seems these memories run like video tapes in my head.......I can close my eyes and watch it like it is a film.

I watched a memory from our last day at my sister's home in Brisbane.
We were packed up to go home. I had put the bedding in the washer to wash. Put the roll-away bed back where it lived.....under the bed ma had slept in, and generally tidied up, to make the place like we hadn't been there.(Vaness my sister was working...our flight didn't leave until 9pm)

Ma was looking for her house key....which was in her purse....which we couldn't find anywhere.
And even though it wasn't really funny, having to unpack everything to look for her darned purse. I was giggling hysterically sat on the floor amid all these clothes.
I laughed so much that there was a rainbow round my gusset and tears of laughter dripping off my chin......didn't find the purse in her case. After we had taken everything out of the case, the purse turned out to be in the side pocket of her carry on bag.
Priceless. She is, and the memories are too.

And even though I know the endings of these blog tales I still found some of them very funny....and some very poignant(the one about the death of the black and white cat, who was a stray, but who I had found a very comfortable home for. This entry still moves me to tears....I should get a life).

Anyway, it stopped me from contemplating doing the ironing....so it can't be that much of a crime.

Not concieted at all to my mind, sod all wrong wi re-living memories,in fact i reckon its a bit of a tonic.;)

Its all very well going back over your old blogs ..........but you will still have to do the ironing your only putting it off unless your other said he would do it while you read these blogs:D

No, he didn't offer.....and do you really think I would trust him with a hot iron and my clothes????????????
Besides I am resting my aching muscles Mick.....moving the furniture, I reckon I earned the break.

It's good to have a look back now & then, it reminds us of how we were feeling at specific points in our lives. Not a bad thing really as it helps us to remember, "It could be worse !". :)

So now you have had a rest ..............sorry its back to that big pile of ironing:D

Not just you, Margaret. I enjoy reading your past blogs too ... always make me smile, so thanks for that.

Done most of it Mick.......Me and the iron ran out of steam at roughly the same time. I stopped for a cuppa and thought to myself........'No old girl should be allowed to have so much fun in one day'. So I have saved some of the 'fun' for later in the week.:D:D:D You have to have something to look forward to don't you?

No, Kate.....many thanks to you for reading.
I am glad you enjoy them, and that they make you smile....though a good belly laugh would be much better for you :D
