Someone must be missing him.

Overlooker
It is nearly two years since our lovely Pasha died.
At that time I said I would not have another cat.
Hmmm! Yes, well sometimes I talk rubbish.
I also said that if the cosmos delivered a ginger cat to my door....I would love that....and I would take him in.
That did not happen. Well, not then....but read on!

As you know I was so very glum(decidedly damp around the eyes)....so much so that himself suggested that I get A kitten.
Singular that is...just one.
You know I don't do things by halves and came back over the Yorkshire moors with TWO furry ginger bundles.
Then within a few months a very large mackerel and white tabby cat took up residence in our garage.
He seemed happy to live out there. He was fed and flea treated and gradually introduced to the kits....Rufus loved him, but Ruby, well she was aloof and very aristocratic....she did not want to associate with a 'Street cat'.
Gradually the cat moved from the garage into the house...at first going out each evening, but waiting to be let in each morning.
He liked a spot on the bottom of our bed.
He was very well mannered and did not scratch the furniture or pidlle anywhere other than the tray(he is a neutered male).
So it was taken as read that he was adopted.

Then about a year ago a very bedraggled poor looking ginger and white tabby tom cat made a home in the garage....and of course we fed him.
His coat was very poor and it looked like someone had thrown something on him that cause all the fur on his back to mat together.
He was a very sorry sample.
He was also very spitty and would not let you get near him.
Over many months I gained his confidence, I treated his sore ear, I combed him and got his coat looking a bit better. I flea treated him and generally looked after him.
During the summer he took to coming to sunbathe in the yard....then he came into the kitchen to be fed....the big tabby stray(Dyson....because he hoovers up grub at a rate of knots) did not get on with him...but it was Dyson who was the aggressor.
The kits got on with him too...though they sometimes forget themselves and tease him and he fights for real.
Anyway the upshot of all this is he has a home here....he is sleeping on the foot of our bed right now.
He is the loveliest cat, very loving, purrs like a jet engine and wants to be wherever I am....head butts me, licks my hand....loves me to bits.
The only drawback is....he is a full male.
He still has his nadgers...and sometimes he just forgets himself and does a 'squirtle'....I watch him like a hawk to deter him and have now got him to use the litter tray...but he really needs to be seen by the cat doctor with a view to removing his danglies.
I am working on that(himself is not keen on coughing up the dosh).
Where ever he came from....someone must be missing him.

Losing a pet to me is the hardest thing ever, crazy asit sounds, when we lost oscar we both skriked like babies, i never skriked when i lost me younger brother, an i thought the world of him. no sense to it, but thats the way it was, we also said the usual, never go through that again etc etc, but 18 months later we got Freddie, best move we ever made.

Yes, those soft furry creatures eat their way into your heart don't they.
And I was the same.
Did not shed a tear when my brother John died.
If this little guy had turned up just after we lost Pasha then I would never have got Rufus and Ruby.
Rufus makes a big fuss over me....while Ruby makes Cow eyes at him.....this new feller follows me round like my shadow....he has to be where I am.
He is a lovely lad.....so someone must miss him.

I don't think it's the money Ma, more the thought of emasculation, a life without nads Aarrghhh! Trust me, it's a Bloke thing! :D

Yes...I suppose you could be right there Son....but I have to have eyes in the back of my head to stop the lad from doing a smelly 'squirtle'...Tom cat pee is very pungent...even when dealt with promptly.
