Like Lottie said in her blog, l felt really privileged to share in Willow and Busman's special day.
I had slept the night before, and after an awful Friday, was looking forward to attending the wedding. lt was a beautiful if windy day, and we met at The Stag ready for the coach to pick us up at 12.15 pm. l was a bit unsure how this Church would differ from other weddings l'd been to. The difference was it was a very personal service, with two of the talks being given by friends of the soon to be wed twosome.
Willow looked beautiful sort of Pre-Raphaelite, with her hair loosely curled in long ringlets and dressed with tiny roses in white and claret to match her dress and the claret of the bridesmaids, who again looked incredibly pretty. Her dress was a white tunic with a delicate hem decorated with embroidery, over a long skirt.
I love weddings. and whilst watching them exchange their views, l did shed a tear [what a softy,] you could see they meant totally what they were saying.
At the reception the Webbers sat together, and enjoyed a masive buffet and each others company. The coach took us back to The Stag at six, and we seemed to be settling down for a session. I knew l'd had enough though, it had been a long day, and Mez kindly called me a cab.
I'd been invited by friends Bob and Janet, who live in a cottage on the way to Guide, to pop up to meet some friends they had over. Had a very nice time- not too much detail l'm afraid! Only my cyber bud Tinkerbelle got the full story.
