Why is it time seems to go nowhere. You spend all week so looking forward to the weekend and before you know it is disappeared and Monday morning is looming...
To make matters worse, now I have 2 teenage lads they tend to want to spend most of their time out with friends and not going out on family days out... so I seem to spend most of my time stuck at home.. I suppose I could make the effort and get out and do stuff myself but would be worried about going too far...just in case!!!
There's also the case that maybe I have finally become a bit of a homebody or just plain lazy!!! My weekends are normally taken up by football as last season most weekends were :
Sat am - Linden's footy
Sat Pm - Accy stanley
Sun Pm - Ben's footy
Ben no longer plays in a footy team so at least I now have sunday's back but find myself just wanting to chill out at home.
I work full time and 3 evenings I am out at various activities so I usually end up having all the housework to do at weekends. Saying that the lads do their fair share, so I can't grumble.
Last night they both had a friend to sleep mostly as favours to their mums but oh how we laughed... The humour I can see in them now is a mix between childish toilet humour mixed with adult humour! Very strange but certainly brought out a few guffaws from me!
So not only do the weeks fly by but it also reminds me how quickly they are growing up.... its now you look back and you actually miss the terrible twos
and the toddler humour. I do enjoy the age they are at now but it constantly reminds me that soon I will be the parent of 2 adults...but I'm still a kid myself, so how's that happened???? ok no puns please...
