Before I took off on my jollies, my sister in law brought some wedding place cards and Order of service cards for me to do the Calligraphy on. 50 each of the place cards and the order of service.......the stationery is a sort of deep cream colour and I promised to do the writing in sepia.......I just thought it would look more effective. The Wedding that I am doing this work for is on the 24th of September - not that far away. So today I thought I should get my bum into gear and make a start.......I would have started yesterday but I could not find my sepia ink anywhere. I tried to buy some yesterday, but no-one in Accrington seems to stock it. Anyway after a major rummage, I found the ink that I knew I had.
The place cards were done in about an hour.......but the Order of Service.......well, they have taken much longer.....maybe 5 minutes for each one. I have done 43.......so by my reckoning I still have another 35 minutes work to do on them. I just hope that the Bride and Groom are happy with my handiwork.
I want to get them done and out of the way........I always worry that while they are in my possession something will happen to them.....like the cat will put her footprints on them. Wedding stationery is so very expensive too. I am just taking a break from the work at the moment because my tennis elbow is playing me up a bit. How can someone with such a sedentary life-style have tennis elbow and athlete's foot........?
