Hello,friends,
I'm jack petty,and I have recently signed on at the site.
I used to be an apprentice at Wilkinsons bakery near the the Kings Hall cinema off Whalley road.There was another cinema opposite, on the corner.I am going back to 1955.Anyone remember the bakery?

Would that have been the Palace picture house?
Then it was turned into Melias Supermarket.

Just a little bit of advice......you would get much more response if you asked this question in the Questions and Answers forum......there are a lot of people who have loads od information about local issues and they would be much more likely to see it there.
