Worked ALL night...!

I have mentioned in posts and maybe even on here that I am an avid reader......I get really panicky if my 'to be read' book pile gets to three books or less. I can't sleep if i haven't had at least a half hour read.

My daughter bought me books for my birthday last month and I read one of them over just a couple of nights.....it is called Dot Homme and it is by Jane Moore......it is a lightweight read but I found it so funny.......there were places where I laughed out loud.....I really enjoyed it.
I have just finished one by Rosie Thomas 'All our sins remembered....... that was a good one too, but it took me a few nights to finish that one.
I like thick books.......because I know they are going to last me just a bit longer.....I am not a very discriminatory reader.....in fact Muti says I would read a sauce bottle for pleasure. She is right I would.

I never really know what I am going to put in my blog each day......I don't have any kind of plan. Sometimes a memory will be stimulated by what I have read in someone elses blog or a post.

Last night I read well into the early hours and when I went to sleep I dreamed that I was back at work......it was a really busy theatre day.....not enough beds and not enough staff....... loads of problems...........blood results not back......anaesthetists throwing a thrommer.........I worked my socks off all through the night.....in my dream that is. I was really glad to wake up and find out it WAS just a dream......although funnily enough I enjoyed the challenge. I suppose in some ways I must miss it.....just a teensy bit.
I have been retired now for almost 3 years and here I am still dreaming about work.
I didn't wake up until nearly 9 am and I felt Knackered.

I read Dot Homme as well - fab light read. Try the "Ex Files" Margaret, you will really enjoy that one I promise!
Other good reads that I have had recently (apart from the AccyWeb blogs!) Kate Long - The Bad Mothers Handbook, Terry Pratchett Monstrous Regiment and of course my Harry Potter.

Nursing's loss= blog readers gain.:)
I too have dreamt of work, and woke half relieved and half sad, but probably not as knackered as you did.
