Re: Who could blame him?

110% vital we keep hold of these two! You can't blame them if they get offered the job and accpet it really can you with everything going on at the club.

Well, why didn't you say 'if offered it'.

No need for insults and name calling, I was only asking you a question, I thought you maybe had some inside information.

Think that anybody who comes into contact with Coley and Belly tomorrow, must tell them how important they are to the club, would also like to think that The Ultras, will make an extra special effort to let them know as well

Sorry Jeff, haven't the time to bite; time waits for no Stanley fan. I offer a gazillion apologies.

Good plan Valairian.

Re: Who could blame him?

One assumes that Coley at least knows what is going on about the debt repayment. Surely the non-villainous (and totally vacuous) co-chairpersons will keep him informed.

I'm pretty sure that Coley will be on the Tranmere wanted list and could be offered the job. If he stays with us, maybe that would give us mere hoi polloi some confidence that the DON will have things sorted.

Re: Who could blame him?

If Coley was offered the Liverpool job he would definatly take it.
He was spotted with a few cans on the Liverpool fans coach coming back from chelsea on sunday.

Re: Who could blame him?

BTW,
there is a tranmere show on city talk fm from 8.30 tonight.
I doubt coleman will be 1st choice.

A significant number of the fans want Paul Jewell to take charge.

If he /they get offered the job, they would be mugs not to take it. Would any of you wish to work for O'Niel and Lazaraus? Personally, i wouldn't p*** on them if they were on fire .

To be honest you could count the number of managers that wouldn't take the Liverpool job on one finger.

Re: Who could blame him?

Having been a supporter of Accrington Stanley since 1997 I've been brought up in the modern 'Coleman & Bell' era.

These two gentlemen are primarily responsible for Stanley's achievements on the pitch, and many others are to be thanked for their own phenomenal achievements off the pitch.

Neither John nor Jimmy are fools, so I imagine that they would have been somewhat circumspect in signing a new contract prior to this season.

Perhaps their contract/s contain provisional clauses, as most do.

Perhaps they have, built into their contracts, permission to talk to other clubs.

[Remember, these contracts would have been negotiated at a difficult time, and there is little doubt that Tranmere Rovers were already sniffing around but had to settle for Barnes and McAteer]

My point is that we've had a wonderful time with these two giants of football, and it's only right that we now hand them full rein for their future instead of holding them hostage to our past.

If that's what they want, of course.

Be gracious. Be kind. Be glad for them if they choose to go.

And, above all, remember that their departure wil not decide the fate of Accrington Stanley.
