Two points above the bottom four !... a totally immotivated and low quality squad with some guaranteed a start irrespective
of their age and diminishing value to the team !.. it goes on and on Lord S !... So ? although I detect some tongue-in-cheek hiding in your reply... ???

Hate to regurgitate the comment above, but the writing was on the wall at the FGR match.
And since then Stanley’s injury problems appear to have got worse.

As you know Lord S...........Holty doesn't think that's even an option.......But surely some sort of change up front is required. Even if we lose with a striker up front......it doesn't make any difference to the current run of results.

Re: The Battered Cod Thread

Well at half-time I never seen that coming!.
Fleetwood were poor, and they lost their centre forward after half an hour.
Three points were there for the taking.
Couldn’t believe what happened ,but the disappointing thing was the reaction after each goal, there was nothing!!!,who’s the leaders/fighters???,not the Acci way

Re: The Battered Cod Thread

The keyboard warriors are out in force tonight. Bigger threads when we lose a game rather than when we win says it all. Lots of hidden agendas I suspect.

Re: The Battered Cod Thread

I’m not sure what “agenda” you think mere fans can have, Pidge, unless you’re confusing it with “opinion”.
I would guess for most the agenda is to see Stanley higher up the league.
Anyway, glad to see some response because there’s been little or no online discussion on here, whether it’s a win/win/win or a loss/loss/loss….

I totally agree with F19 - we don’t appear to have a genuine leader who is able either to stir the loins of the younger players by force of personality and/or change the course of a game by example.
Harry Pell had a bit of the former, but he’s gone. Notts could have provided it but he’s out. Coyle might have it, in five or six years.
But McConville doesn’t seem to have it, and never has. To my eye, he’s never been brave enough to inspire others in adversity.
Conneely tries but doesn’t seem to have that extra something that a leader on the pitch needs.

If only opinions could stir a few warriors on the pitch as easily as on the keyboard.

Hi stranger !.. Apart from Coyle and Hamilton we haven't got anyone you could remotely describe as a 'fighter'.. As for a leader ?.. We have two ! ..in name only unfortunately !..
As usual you've hit the nail squarely on the head !.

My best to you both !.

Yonmon
Was looking for you at the Bolton game!!!,
Think the team are technically good and for 70 minutes were the better team against Bolton,.
The team are missing Nottingham in the games I’ve watched.
Like the look of Mitch Clarke although he was quite today.
KTF !!!

i wish that was all it was injuries, not playing a striker is the biggest problem to me.

Re: The Battered Cod Thread

Noticed Sisay wasn't even on the bench yesterday???
He only played for the last 5 minutes at Peterborough, surely he can't be injured again

Re: The Battered Cod Thread

What little I’ve seen of Leslie Adekoya in the U23s (which is more than I’ve seen of Delfouneso or Toure, or….Joe Hardy!) I’d give him another go.
He’s in good company by hitting the woodwork, and it’s more than Nathan D achieved from the same spot recently.
If nothing else, having a striker might mean Tommy Leigh can get back to doing what he seems to do best as an attacking midfielder, instead of wasting his energy running after balls punted down the side line.
Can only hope the reduced schedule this coming month allows time for more of the injured to recover, and for the management to come up with some magic.
