Free ancestry sites?
Does anyone know of any free ancestry sites, or sites that have any censuses on?
I'm doing a bit of research, and would be very grateful if anyone had come across any sites that might be useful. I have found FamilySearch.org, the site provided by the Church of the Latter Day Saints, very good, but it drives me mad on other sites, when you use what says it's a free site, and then you are expected to pay to get credits to view the results. Thanks.

you could try http://www.thegenealogist.co.uk/freesub/
but theirs are only free for 30 days, I dont think there is any for free really, unless you go to the library. I wouldnt mind knowing any 'completely free' sites meself!

There is one called free bmd (births marriages and deaths). You need to know who you are looking for and an approximate time span.
