Does anyone know of any free ancestry sites, or sites that have any censuses on?

I'm doing a bit of research, and would be very grateful if anyone had come across any sites that might be useful.

I have found FamilySearch.org, the site provided by the Church of the Latter Day Saints, very good, but it drives me mad on other sites, when you use what says it's a free site, and then you are expected to pay to get credits to view the results.
