Where can I find a class about creating your own website?
I work for a non-profit senior activity center and we are looking into creating a website for our center. Does anyone know where there is a one-day workshop kind of class for creating your own website?

Your right Lancsdave I suspect, however, Shaina ... can be open on here about what you do .. no need to lead us into it the way you have.
People advertise their businesses all the time ... look at Lancsdave for instance ...
Nobody minds ... just find it useful if we are seeking services, etc. Just the spammers who are annoying.

Wrong, Kate, Lancsdave has the full approval of the owner and his carers to advertise on here, if, people can't be bothered to ask and instead just slyly post an advert it is called Spam, I think the only reason this thread has been left open is because the link they put in their signature for the advert doesn't work.
Now, why should you protect a spammer?
Or has Dave upset you as well as me upsetting you?
?

Re: Where can I find a class about creating your own website?
Well, pardon me for trying to be helpful. Didn't think she was a spammer as did introduce herself nicely in the appropriate section. Sometimes, new members are put off by comments by us experienced members who know the ropes, and never return.
As for Dave upsetting me ... nah, he wouldn't do that, he is too much of a gentleman.
As for you upsetting me, must have missed summat along the way ? Unless, of course, I was too thick to recognise an insult and you presumed I was upset ?

Haha Cashy .. yes, just a beginner ... hasn't quite got his heart and soul into it yet.
Guess this thread was probably spam looking at it now ...
Still, it's rather ironic that you can't get into the link when she is supposed to be some sort of website expert ...

That's because he/she will come on,(with their American phraseology and spelling,

a non-profit senior activity center

then lo' & behold another very friendly American will appear giving us links to a profit making site, that will be of interest to those in whom it has raised the want to learn.

i've had a stab at it. you can learn the basics from websites though html is very difficult. Programs like Dreamweaver make life easier
