Odd job men
Remember when there were men who went around doing all those 'odd jobs' for people. You never hear of them nowadays and most firms aren't interested in coming out for a small job that needs doing around the house.
How do you ensure anyway that someone who comes to the house is able to make a good job of the work you want doing. |

You are right about that in this day and age. The ones I am talking about lived in the community and were well known by everyone. They came when called on to 'fix' taps etc for a reasonable charge, it was their way of making a living.

the trouble is the neigheourhood is transient not got time to make a community or even get to know anyone so u dont get to know who is safe to know shame but thats the day and age we live in now
