Engine required!
Well I've decided I must be jinxed! I broke down in my car yesterday and thought it was just a dead battery - but of course - that would be too cheap to fix and I have just found out I've managed to sieze up the engine! Some people may know that this is the second car and second engine I've managed to go through in 6 months (the first being my dad's - opps!)
Why is it other people can buy absolute bangers for next to nothing and they last years?
So if anyone has a Ford Fiesta engine going spare - please PM me! Meanwhile - I'm going to get really drunk and feel sorry for myself (well I'm not driving in the morning!)

Re: Engine required!
You two have my sympathys.
Nearly two years ago, I siezed the engine on my 'onda, when i found it didn't like running at 7,000 rpm. I got a re-conditioned engine sourced and fitted by Alan Price Autos in Blackburn for £500, and it's still going strong.
Needless to say, my driving style is now less Ayrton Senna and more like Driving Miss Daisy.

Re: Engine required!
Well Wingy you've cheered me up!
I should remember that there's always someone less fortunate than me. In this case - you!!!!!!! Only joking......
Sparky - I don't think my engined siezed up cos I was running it at high rev's, I don't even think the rev counter goes up to 7,000! It sounds like it's gonna fall apart at 3,000!

Re: Engine required!
I believe when you own a car - you must never get your own hands dirty! Therefore, my Dad's had a look at it and so has a garage - couldn't tell you if they've "dipped the oil" (Eh?)

I should have known by the glazed look in her eyes that this is a man thing & she didn't understand a word i had said.

Yes Mez but as you have already admitted to me you learnt your lesson by blowing up an engine as well! (perhaps proof of the man thing?) he, he.
