Can someone tell me why, when i try to change my avatar i load an animated gif from my pc but when i save it, it says not valid gif. What do i have to do?

This is the site Len, it's the dog on the washing line. It will not load as an attachment.

You can either save this image to you pc by right clicking and selecting “Save image as”
Or just enter the url address into the box in your “edit avatar” section.

Cheers Len, i did save the image to my pc from the site, but could not get it to work when i tried to change the avatar. I'm now a happy bunny.

I know there's an actual solution to Janet's original problem of the gif downloading to her PC as a bmp but I don't know the explanation.

I know this has solved it by getting round it another way but if when you try to save a gif it only saves one of the frames as a bmp it's because your PC is bunged up and needs unbunging.

Can one of you techy bods explain properly how that is done? I know how to make sure mine will do it OK but I don't know how to explain it to someone else. (about not compressing graphics and stuff like that as well as making sure you regularly clear the cache thingy)

I'm not very good at pc stuff and when I came on Accy web i tried to put my Barny av on but I could'nt,so thats why you've got Sylvester instead!:D

On BW Willow, they have him in the choose an AV section but on here you don't:( he's my double!:)

Sorry willow it’s above my head.. I simply right click on an animated gif and “Save image As…” it seems to work every time for me. Maybe some one else can explain.
